CHET Celebrates 2016 College Savings Month

State Treasurer Denise L. Nappier is pictured with students and school educator Sorangel Junquera from Smalley Academy in New Britain during a visit to Central Connecticut State University on September 15, 2016.  Treasurer Nappier invited students from three elementary and middle schools in New Britain to CCSU for a College Savings Month celebration. The event included a campus tour and gave the students, who had participated in the 2016 Dream Big! Competition, an opportunity to talk to older students with similar interests. In remarks, Treasurer Nappier stressed the importance of saving for college.
